Cold Air Extension

Hey,

Well, I'm trying to get my injen intake extended so thats its cold air and I called a local shop and he asked if I knew the length and the degree of the bend in the pipe, which I don't. Does anyone know the length and degree of the pipe?

It's a difficult fit. You might as well just bring him your car and show him what you're planning on doing and sort've rough it.

I can tell you either way you're probably better off calling UPFD and seeing if they'll still make em.

Yah, thats what I was thinking was going to happen. I'd just leave my car there and he'd do whatever he had to do to make it work, but he asked so I figured I'd see what you guys had to say.

A member awhile back tried this and worked. I did the same.. If you get the Cold air intake of a honda civic 98 model.. the angle is perfectly fitted to the solara's fender. You just cut one end to meet your need. Hope that helps.

Did you notice any performance gains going from short ram to cold air intake?

typically the differnce you will notice is where the power begins. Short rams tend to be mostly high end power, while cold air seems to just start working sooner. In terms of actual track times, from experience the cold air makes about .1 seconds difference. However if its summer time, then you tend to feel the difference more. Good luck.

will this work for both the manuals and automatics? also, did you have issues with the diameter of the intake pipes?
