I've got the 2.4L 4 cylinder in my '02 solara

how is it supposed to sound? Constant, smooth buzz? or is it a "WahWahWahWahWah..." sound?

I need to know. I think my engine may be screwed up... :cry:

I bet it doesnt sound like mine haha. Mines scrwe up.. Its suppose to be smooth but not constant. Do remember thats a 2.4L 4 banger block in a heavy beast. The motors working hard to keep up.

i havent ever listened to the 2.4 liter closly but id guess it isnt too loud and wont be too deep since its a 4cyl. but we really need a video to tell if u have a problem

2.4 are really smooth (i'd say they are the smoothest 4 banger current on stateside). If you think you have a problem...it could small stuff.

ok. if I hear it again, I'll use my phone and get a recording of it. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to post it though. I ran it this morning and it didn't sound unusual, so it's probably nothing to worry about.

BTW, I'm getting dual-subs put in right now, so I don't have the car with me.
