**UPDATE** on: Seafoam on Solara?????

Postby SleeperSolara » Thu Dec 29, 2005 10:48 am

Well i helped my friend wit his Steath TT wit the SeaFoam, on cleanin' his intake manifold.
There was a tube to took off and you let the car kind-of suck it in to clean the intake manifold; then after a while the would be smoke comin' from the exhaust and the where eva there was an exhaust leak.

So my question is there a tube where i can have the intake manifold suck up the SeaFoam to clean the intake manifold?????
Cause i think i'm goin' to do that to clean the intake manifold and the throttle body.
Thanks for the input.

Brake Booster Line. Located on driver side toward the frame of the car. Black tube connected to a big black circular shape thing.

^ Sounds like the fuel line/filter, be careful. Pics are probably a good idea.

Yeah thats the one. . . You should buy two cans put one can in the fuel tank, half a can to be sucked up and half a can poured into the engine oil. . . You should pour it in the last 50 miles before you have to change your oil

1/3 in gas tank, 1/3 sucked through brake booster, 1/3 in crankcase

do it in that order, letting the engine run to circulate the seafoam in the oil. change your oil and filter right away. you dont want the gunk that seafoam loosens to be floating around your engine for any extended length of time.

Well i put 8oz in the intake manifold.
Will be puttin' the other 8oz in the oil crankcase.
When should i put in the Seafoam in the crankcase???
I'm at 1200k miles on the oil, i have 800 miles left.
I just filled up too so Seafoam would be useless i use it 1/4 empty.
