Exhaust system for the I4 5SFE

In regards to http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=21513
I'm debating towards getting the Apex since I kinda want to avoid the lil heavier growl from the Greddy. I'm curious on the piping fitments for the exhaust on these though. Considering i'm a 5SFE, mostly offered where the V6 types of these. The Rippmods headers that I'll be putting on has a 2.25" Diameter? I kinda want to keep the piping size the same since i'm just a NA application pretty much so I want to keep some low/mid rpm for hp/torque losses minimal.

Were there any piping fitment issues?
Custom piping recommended?
All the header and the exhaust piping will need to hook up to a universal hi-flow cat.

2.25 is the best diameter for an exhaust.

not much different because your catalytic convertor will still strict the flow.

I am running the Apexi / Ripp combo. I used a 3" HF Cat. There were no issues, CEL or fitment wise.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

the Apex-i World sport is not 3" piping. Before i had it installed i had them measure the "Inside" Diameter of the piping and it was 2 1/3". Outside diameter is 60mm which is 2.36" which is just slightly over 2 1/3's of an inch.

Hope this help's

Fitments sure seem sweet to line up now :D Much appreciated. Now I gotta hunt down a good deal on a shiney Apexi  The damn groupbuy @ TN for the Rippmods 5SFE header won't start delivering probably until late Jan. 06 hopefully if production isnt screwed again from what the "word" has been on delays. So hopefully May 06 is my finishing goal for the finalle of tune ups.
