Upper Strut Mount Question

Upper Strut Mount Question

Postby so1234 » Thu Jan 05, 2006 9:41 am

Hi,

I have got a 99 SE V6 with the noise from the front end.

I have read that the Upper Strut Mount problem of the 99 Solara will return after we replace them. Should I fix it or just stay with it? Is there any way so that we can fix that noise completelly?

Thank you for your input

I've had that problem on my camry, not on my solara! If you ahve a problem, go ahead and replace the strut mounts, and from what i've been here since many many moons ago, this problem doesn't plague solaras.

Thank you for your responses.

I have read some post here, which say the problem would come back just a couple months after we replace the strut mounts. ( http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... e&start=15 )

Is the any of you have the problem fixed completelly?

Thanks,

Not sure, but the TSB states the part was redesigned. Not sure if a re-occuring problem was because this new part was not use to fix?
