I'm gonna crack it open tomorrow, and depending on availability of parts (LED's) in town, may have it completed friday. I will keep everyone posted.

Wow, i didn't think you could change that. I'm not good with stuff like that, is this something that the dealer can do, or won't they do something like that? I'd like all matching colors. Why the heck don't they match anyway?

Lilmike...I gues what I was really asking was...Will the dealer do it for you? I can't do stuff like that myself.

no the dealer will not do such a thing... taking the unit apart will also void any type of warranty that may still apply to the controls. BUT, i will be sure to try and take detailed pictures and give detailed description of the process so that pretty much anyone should possibly be able to do it.

As long as they are not surface mount led's you will be fine. I say ditch the whole thing and install a computer. Then contact me for the interface for the auto hvac. :) No warranty on it though as it is not 100% but hey who cares right. laugh

Any luck? I haven't been in here since the 4th (but I may stumble across your tutorial in a few minutes when I am catched up with all 8 pages of "Posts since your last visit" LOL).

My biggest concern with the color change would be the clock. I think all of the other lights would be easy to change. Any idea how to make the clock another color?
