buy some damp-rid to keep in the trunk for a while. spray every surface that got wet with lysol or use those clorox wipes to kill mold and bacteria.

I'd just take the carpet piece out, and the spare out, and just leave it out in the sun.. and wipe up the rest of the trunk space

Damp-rid? where do I get this? What is it exactly?

I had a similar issue. A drain on the passenger side of my sunroof clogged up during a really bad rainfall last fall. Rain seeped in through the headliner and soaked into the front/back carpeting and the floorboards. And it was alot of rain that day.

Not sure what damp-rid is, but when I lived in japan you could buy these little boxes with that sillica stuff (that stuff that comes in little packs that says do not eat) in them that obsorbs a lot of moisture and would stop mold from growing under sinks and in closets and stuff. You might be able to find them here...

You can find damp-rid, or similar products at a local hardware store. It works very well

damp-rid works well... lysol will only kill the bacteria on the surface... but it might help.

Steam cleaning the car will take a lot of time... but it will give your car a fresh look... like it was just detailed... so it might be worth the effort to you.

You could also get one of those potable ionic air purifiers.
