hello, i was wondering about unpluging the EBC, could some one please give me some advantages and disadvantages of doing this.
I have a SLE W/ 6psi pulley upgrade and S-AFC.
Would geting some trany. work done maybe help (valve body, toque conv)
Also I am interested in the header and y-pipe as soon as the R&D are done for the auto, but would the trany be able to hold that much more power. Thanks

I put an inline switch to my EBC so I can cut it off when I want more power or when I want to race. All I did was put a switch inline with the ground of the EBC.

You'd need to do some tranny work to safely put that much power to the wheels after headers.

Hey yanks I just talked to Jim@ foreign Affairs and he sayed that the tran will be just fine. he has the 8psi pulley with his new heads and no EBC
Thats heads, not headers. So i'm going with his advice, What do you think? It sound good to me.

yanks is right, you'll get safer, better performance if you do the trans work. its worth the cost.

you can do it and yes the tranny will work fine with 8psi BUT it won't last for long. Its a lot cheaper to build it up now then to have to deal with gear slipping later.
