HVAC L.E.D.

Sleeper- White is available and everything is really gonna be custom, colors actually. The website I found for these LED's has a good variety of colors. So you guys can pick whatever colors you want. For those thinking about doing it yourselves, check out www.ledcar.com for the LED's. The guy said to go to Radio Hack for the PCBoard. I'm guessing around $20 total. I should have one built in the next couple weeks to show everybody, and with a total price.

#74 LED's and cellophane can't even compare to the quality of this mod. The biggest pain is getting the face of the HVAC off, after that it's pretty easy. Just gotta mount this PCBoard and plug it in. You'll just be saving some $$ to make a not very good comparison.

I was just thinking that... I won't want ANYTHING purple in my car unless it's a removable item that belongs to a chick (namely her blouse on the floorboard ).

Josh, I definately agree with you. #74's simply dont cut it, they are not bright enough. If you leave the two big stock bulbs in, without the green covers, and apply the transparency right, well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words...

For bassthrive. How did you change the color of the cig lighter, I tried but still not red. Two, what kind of headunit do you have and does it always light up all red? Thanks Jon.

For the cig lighter I painted the bulb with red nail polish. The h/u is a Clarion ProAudio DXZ745MP and it can actually do 728 colors. I run red at night and light blue by day.

Just wanted to update you guys that I found a good source for the superflux LED's and I am about 2 weeks away from recieving them. And I plan on having them installed in a day or 2 after recieving them. I am only ordering enough to make 7 units, including mine. So I will have 6 available and all you have to do is mount it inside the HVAC control unit, which I will provide detailed instructions on the best way to mount it. Then just plug it into one of the light sockets and you're done! I will get a total price as soon as I order the LED's. If anyone is interested, please reply or pm me your desired colors. I will be putting in the LED order on Monday or Tuesday.
Available colors are Red-Green-Orange-Yellow-Blue-White.

I've been having some serious issues in my life. Breaking up and moving out the gf, trying to find a rommate so I can pay bills, etc, etc. Working nights 7 nights on, 7 off. My life has been real tough the past couple months. This is still on my to do list tho.
