I got a mailer today from West Covina Toyota advertising a SC installed for $2395.00. You need a coupon (which I have) to get the deal. I assume this is a deal. I cannot use the coupon because I have an I4. Anyone want it?

I have no problem with my buddy Edrick Asuncion (WC Toyota Parts), but I do have a problem with West Covina Toyota's service dept. I wouldn't recommend them to install any 1MZ-FE because my friend Jason (Vtec26) was the first s/c they've ever installed, and they fcuked up the install. Their "mechanics" forgot to bolt down the dog bone engine mount back to the pulley rail. Talk about stupid. This install was done in the Spring of 2001. Took my friend 3 times before they got everything done right. So in conclusion, don't go to them for any S/C install.

Good Price?

Postby JMSinMaryland » Fri Jan 31, 2003 10:56 pm

I picked up my SC for $1850 shipped plus $350 total for install so it was only $2200 total. How's close to $2400 a deal? Jon.

Hey, I was only passing on information. The only experience I have w/SC pricing is for my Corrado. As I stated in the post "I assume this is a deal".

Hope you didn't misread my post, no hostility made, just trying to help other Solara/Camry owners =). Jon.

In a way it is a deal only because we can no longer get the superchargers for $1850 anymore. Still much better than the old price of over 3k for a S/C and about $500 for install
