Finally after like a year or so of wanting to put in some W7's I'm going to do it. I have the appointment setup for next Friday at 10. Woo Hoo!

They said it should cost around 250 for the box, I told them I wanted trunk room still, nothing outrageous, and still be able to take my spare out. I'm thinking something like this...

Thanks to the owners for the pictures I used, if you don't want them up let me know and away they go.

Any tips or advice?

I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Sound Domain is where I found all of these, I just sorted it by car audio and chose the ones that fit the style I'm looking for.

yeah, i have almost an identical setup as the infinity pic. Except, I have a wall that has cutouts and the subs are recesssed, so they wont get damaged by stuff in my trunk. it works great too.

I should be dropping the car off now at the shop but I went yesterday and made some changes and told them I want to make a more elaborate system. Plus my amp isn't in yet and they said they need it. I'm taking it in Sunday and they'll have it until the end of Monday.

Stay tuned...

Does anybody have remote bass control? I bought the JL RBC-1 and plan on fitting it in the cigarette lighter. I never use it since there's no smoking in my ride and I can use the other outlet for my cell. I was wondering how you like it and if you've had any issues. Also where you have yours mounted.

I have removed my TV and RAVDVD1 and put my stock back in. I like it much better actually. I've been using the one on the head unit but I want more control over my new subs.

yeah, my spare is in some garage somewhere in never never land. if a tire goes, then i'm screwed if someone can't bring me one of my 18's. in two and a half years nothing has happened thus far (knock on wood) but i have AAA and roadside assistance from my extended warranty, so i'm ok.

Yeah I have AAA too but I'd rather not have the hassle of waiting for them if something happens. Plus it would just look nice to have it kind of as a centerpiece. I'm having a hard time finding systems that have it but I've seen it many times. I'm going to go to the book store in a little bit and chill with some Starbucks to see what I find.

I'm always getting flats or nails or something in my tires so that's why I'm stressing it so much. Good thing you only got smashed in the front of your ride, that's much better than a flat

Finally!!!

I have my system put in. It was installed a few weeks ago but one of the W7's were bad so I had to wait for the replacement to come in. Anyways I just got the car back today from my guy at Toyota. I put a Highlander 130A alternator in and an Optima D34/78 Yellow Top battery with new 4ga wiring and Stinger digital terminals. Also he replaced my master cylinder since it was leaking for some reason. Anyways I rushed over to Sound Advice to have them throw in my other speaker and those things POUND!

I was disappointed because the lights dimmed pretty bad still. I can't believe all the upgrading I did still causes that to happen. So therefore I'm going to add another battery in the trunk to run the system and an isolator.

My question is: For those who have isolators, what brand/type do you have and any information would be great. I'm going to get another D34/78 to run the system so both batteries are the same and hook that up but while searching threads I haven't found anything and Google has multiple types that I'm not sure about. Any help would be great.

I'll take a couple of pics in the morning and post them before I head to Daytona Beach.

Here's a pic of the subs, I'll take more pics of the amp and stuff later. I went to turn the car on and the damn thing didn't want to start. I guess I"ll need a red top in the front and yellow in the back. I'm pretty sure this is Kenny's setup. I'll have to check my pm's again.

Damn man Im jealous. Thats a very clean setup and also some good choices on the products you went for. I am very surprised that your setup still dims your car's lights though. I didnt think that would be a problem for you.
