There is a great one on ebay i saw a few months ago.

It went for about 30 dollars, but i think you need it to be installed by a pro.

Its a block of wood you put under your gas peddle so you cant press it down all the way.

True story.

simple things can save you gas
1. no jackrabbit stars
2. clean oil & filter
3. clean air fiter and fuel injectos
4. sparks when they need replacement.

KNOCK ON WOOD: i still get 500+ miles on my solara on every fillup despite it being almost 85K miles...(and still on OEM sparks).

It saves gas because it blocks air from coming in whichs results in less fuel. Now the part where you feel like your getting more power..... Think about it. If you put race gas, wouldnt you feel fast? If super street magazines said putting fat chicks in your car will give you more down force making you go faster, I bet millions would fall for it... :)

They claim to prove it on the dyno. But its because they install it and dyno right away so the cars probably running lean still trying to recalibrate resulting more hp for the time being.

:o :P

Anyway, that thing's only going to add resistance to your intake system. resistance is bad. If you could pull everything off of the throttlebody you'd have the best mileage you can have without tuning.
The only ways to improve your mpg is reduce the resistance in your air intake system, or tune your mixture to the leanest safe mix. Stock Toyota engines run fat robbing us of power and mpg, but creating lower exhaust temps so your cat might last longer. (Of course Toyota only cares about it getting past warranty.) CP-e showed me the stock mix for the Gen2 and it was ugly.
