What was the first thing you had to replace on your car?

What was the first thing you had to replace on your car?

just curious and trying to assemble a matrix of sorts on what kind of things anyone had to replace on thier cars (specifically 01 SLE coupes). Info I'm looking for . . . general geographical location, miles which something had to be fixed/replaced and a brief description what was done to fix the concern. I mean everything down to wiper replacement.

for me . . .

Loc: MI
Miles: 15,000
Issue: BSR
Action: Washer bottle hose and WH rattling in front passenger wheel well. Both secured with tie straps.

Loc: MI
Miles: 30,0000
Issue: Rough ride at hight speeds
Action: Tires replaced and a front end allignment performed.
Wishin for warmer weather!!!

I had to do the brakes. I bought the car w/10,750 miles on it in March of 2002. The previous ownser must have rode the brakes.
Had a 99 Solara SE V6. Had a 06 Tacoma. Now I have a 2008 Camry SE V6

No... My brakes were crappy since day 1.

Changing the front brake pads to Hawk HPS made a big difference.

I bought the car brand new and after it had about 35K on it, I had to get new tires and an alignment.

First thing I had to replace was the oil and filter after 3,000 miles.

I have a 2001 SE V6 with 20k miles on it. So far it's gotten new front brakes, rear brakes, computer and transmission, all covered by warranty service. I guess I got the bad one.

Bought mine with just under 30K miles, and had an alignment job. Had to replace the hood because some jackass tried to hoodslide it and dented it. (I made him pay for it :D ). Then I replaced the trunk, because...well I'm an idiot and backed into my mailbox...

I was forced to replace my rims with 18" chrome ones, buy clear corners, put a mesh grill in, and replace the entire stereo system adding subwoofers.

Seriously though, I got my car w/ 26k miles, and havn't had to replace anything yet (neither did the previous owner, other than the radio; I have the service records). I have 32k on the car now.

new brake rotors, the old ones were warped (at around 40k miles) and had to be replaced. i swear they look smaller than oem, maybe just due to the new rims.

LOL, come on flip how about the oil change after 1000 miles

So far so good on my solara, I haven't HAD to replace anything, but i did it anyways :D

The brakes on the solara and most toyotas are traditionally soft and weak so that is one upgrade i really have enjoyed

Bought new in December 99

After 2000 miles
Drivers seat had to be replaced due to leather cracking

Also had to get HomeLink garage opener (SLE models) secured as it kept falling down.
7 years w/ Gen 1 Solara....
Loved Toyota so much that I work for them now
