Anyone know where to get the best price for these? Any group buys in the near future? Definately interested, especially after I put on my new 17's.

It's a long shot but if you want the best deal, you have to be patient and look around ebay for few months..

I found one month old TRD/Eibach (same thing) springs for $100!

www.shox.com has a pretty good deal on tokicos.

bassthrive ask:

Anyone know where to get the best price for these? (Tokico struts)

Even if i live in Montreal, i've just bought a few weeks ago a set of Tokico struts in the US.
The best price availiable at that time was $358.12/set.
I did but them in Florida at http://WWW.AIEONLINE.COM.
The owner name is Adam, a nice very nice person to deal with.
And more his shipping charge are cheap...

This is not a personnal endorsement of this seller since i don't know him.
But since i did had 3 transactions with him in the last year without a glitch,
i tought i could refer him to you.

I've been reading around a bit and some people have said that when getting eibach pro springs that a camber-correction may be necessary. I thought it wouldn't because I don't recall anyone here stating they did this. Do I need to do this or just get the struts/springs and get the allignment? thanks-

Anytime you lowered your car, Alignment is recomended.
o/w you may experience an uneven tire wear because of neg. camber.

Geeze, how many times do we have to repeat this over and over and over again. NO you do not need a camber kit on the Camry chassis using a Macpherson strut design. Yes you do need to get a front wheel alignment done after ANY suspension work...especially when you have to replace/remove the strut assembly.

i recall viewing a groupbuy on eibachs and tokico struts at groupbuycenter.com. in the search field to the left, just choose suspension and look through the vendors. the eibachs are $230 shipped from no-limit. it's not listed at the groupbuy.com site, but if you go to their actual website, the solara will be listed at the above price. as far as the tokico struts go, i think they had it for $370 plus $25 for shipping. don't remember which vendor is selling them, but i think there are only 3 of them having tokico group buys. hope this helps.

Filp- I just asked because someone at tirerack said I may need to do the camber adjustment, as well as shox.com. Which confused me a bit. Just wanted to double check...nothing wrong with that. I'm going to order the struts/springs tomorrow. I found the tokico's for about $375 and the eibachs for $189. They're at seperate internet retailers so I'm going to get a hold of shox.com and do the price matching. If they won't I'll just get them from the separate stores. Thanks for the info bigsley, if the prices I got don't end up working out I'll check up on the group-buy.

Thanks for the response flip, just wanted to make sure.

best bet

Postby LifeguardSLE V6 » Mon Feb 03, 2003 9:22 pm

For the springs, the best bet is Adventon. I ordered mine, and it was $211 shipped. Plus, the guy was nice and even called to make sure I got them.

Just ordered the Tokico blues and Eibach pro kit from SHOX.com with the price matching. Got a great deal too...the struts were $95 a piece ($380) and the springs $185. So the total with shipping was $585, not bad at all. I got the Tokico prices from wholehyper.com and the Eibach price from adventon.com. SHOX.com went a little lower on both. Can't wait to get them and throw those suckers on there.

You can keep asking around and different people will tell you that you need a camber kit and some wont. Now...who would you rather trust, a shop that really knows nothing about a Camry Solara except for the parts they stock in there warehouse and the computer listings they have for it? OR would you trust owners who have already experienced this and already know what does and does not work for this platform?

It's your call. ;)
