How much power will a TRD Supecharger add? Do you need other accessories to use it?
If anyone knows add-ons for the Solara besides TRD - send an email - I love my Solara and want to juice and spruce it up! Maybe one day you can spot Black-Ice on the road - just me in my baby! PS Remote Starter - excellent addition

you need the TRD front tower strut brace, as the oem bar will not allow the s/c to fit in the engine compartment. if you want more boost, you need to get a smaller pulley, and AT THAT POINT, you need to have an safc to adjust the air/fuel ratio. depends on how much added hp you want.

Power

The numbers i've seen are anywhere from 220-240hp. A manual will put out more toward the 240 range. S-AFC a must if you want to run higher boost. Trust me, I waited too long and now i'm paying the price. I burned up my motor with 7 pounds of boost.

The same thing happened to me on a post a little while ago. You can just delete your duplicate posts.

The SC alone can add 40-50hp to the wheels. I was able to dyno at 253hp to the wheels (about 290-300hp at the crank) with a 5psi pulley (orig TRD pulley was a 4psi unit).

If you're going to do the SC I'd recommend changing out your plugs (maybe to Denso Iridium IK22's), and ignition wires (Magnecor KV85).

For the wires, call TWS at 909.468.1311, ask for Sander.

Steve,

I didn't realize you posted here. I read your posts and wondered "who is this guy?", then realized it was you. Did some of the infighting at teamsc3 drive you over here? I read your "dialogue" on the Member forum.

:) Nah, whatever happened at SC3 hasn't hindered my involvement there. I've had an acct here for a while, just thought I'd check out what was going on and drop a line. :)
