WTF- Im pretty sure about the 17's. I did a lot of number crunching and the 17's had more pros than the 18's. It mainly comes down to costs of the tires and partially with the cost of the rims. I want a 45 tire and to get that with in 18 drives the price up. If I get a 40 tire they are more prone to blowing out on ohio's famous potholes.

Dude I live in Michigan (bet our roads are worse than yours) and I have 18's. Get the 18's. Plain and simple you will regret not getting something bigger.

I like these the best

Enkei EVO5 17x7 with a 42 or 35 offset in hyperblack. $134

And I would go with 17' too. Actually going to buy them in spring with new rubber, so I'll be here to bother solaraguy community with stupid questions.

They are cheaper, and tires are cheaper for them, too.

I think the rims you have now are ok. Just keep 'em.

Yeah your roads are worse than ohio's. Especially around the detroit area. Im from sylvania which is like 5mins to the mich border. But like I explained, 18's are nice, but I seriously just cant afford the extra $400 bucks to get them. I got to many other expenses constantly coming in, other things I want to buy for the solara, and future money spending coming up. The 17's will look good.

Im seeing a wide range of votes. Everything in the poll is so close. So basically what im getting out of it, is that I just need to figure out what I want they all look nice except the silver jh8's and get them. Also guys, the reason why i put the silver jh8's on the list because if you go to tirerack.com and put my car in, in my color, in silver they look sweet. So check it out. I couldnt figure out how to post that picture on this website.

Hey what do you guys think about these. My buddy has these in silver on his gen2 camry. He was showing me these today. These are sport max wheels from wheelmax. They are having a blowout sale right now so i can get all four wheels for $356. I dont know much about sportmax so if you have your opinions on them let me know. Also he said that these wheels balance pretty good. They are 17x7 with a 40 offset. Keep the voting up, Id like to hear from all of you!

Baby steps are good... steps are steps haha at least that's what I keep telling myself with my car. Go for whatever rims you like, doesn't matter what other people think, myself included. See if those sportmax come in 18's since they're on sale. I recently got 18's for my car and am gonna put them on this weekend, and least your car is already lowered, so yea if at all possible I'd recommend at least going for 18's, just gotta see how you want to allocate your money/how long you want to wait for other options. For example I found a good deal for wheels/tires thats why I got them before the suspension. Check around locally maybe somebody changed their mind on their wheels that they don't like yet you'd like and get something slightly used.

I already looked, the biggest size you can get these in are 17's. And thats totally what im doing just taking baby steps. First was the tint, then the struts and springs, then trd sway bar, now its rims, next will be black headlights, then exhaust and intake. A trd kit would be nice but it would get knocked off once I pull out of my driveway.

Hey, I found the sport maxs in gunmetal on ebay in 18's. They are 18x7.5 with a 38mm offset. they are just over $500.

OK so I have it narrowed down now to the ASA AR1's, the Enkei EVO5, or the Enkei ZR1. If I get the EVO5's I can probably get 18's, but I need to know if they will fit first. The 18 is 7.5 inches wide and it comes in an offset of 45 or 35. Im guessing the 35 will work without rubbing with a 225/45/18 tire. Anybody know for sure?

^youre better off going with 225/40/18... 45's are better on 17's

i know youre going to think that its a thinner tire and dammm those harsh roads, but you wont be rubbing with the 40's... you also gotta consider the few times youll have the fat ppl in your back seat hehe

Do you think that applies to every 18inch rim?

Just put some 18's on my ride with 40 ratio, (235/40/18) and the ride is comparable to stock comfort on stock suspension.
