Postby rossman945 » Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:54 pm

I have a 1999 V6 solara with my new cold air intake. My next step is to replace my spark plugs and spark plug wires. What would be the best kind to get from your guys expirences and prefrences? Prices don't matter, I want the best peformance.

Thanks,

Ross

You can get the original platinums or the 2002 and up as well as es300 oem iridiums which are the best for performance, i think the part number is SK20 just go to the toyota dealer and if you want the originals tell them you have a 99 solara v6 if you want the iridiums tell them you have a 2002 or 2003 solara v6.

You don't get performance from wires and spark plugs just let clarify things but most of use are running Denso Iridiums IK20 or NGK Iridiums. . . Some people stuck with the Denso Platinum that came stock with our cars because the only really benefit with Iridiums is that they last a lot longer. . . For wires if you want stock replacements you can get NGK but if you want upgrade there is Magnecore KV-85 which are 8.5mm
