i have gen 1.5 side and rear lip kit... bought gen 1 front lip from mr mark... so i have best of both worlds??? lol... if you notice when the gen 1 came out with the lip kit, the skirts were straight, now on the gen 1.5 lip kits, the skirts have a curve to them... but i like the curve better... the straight skirts just made the car look a lil lower...

Hey Phi, Ralph is correct. before the Gen 1.5 kits came out the TRD side skirt on the Gen 1's were more straight. When the Gen 1.5 came out was then they started to change the side skirts with a little more of a curve to it.

If you take a look at ppls that have had the Gen 1 kits from the beginning you would be able to tell. Also when Molly was selling these kits i had asked the that question since i wanted to know the difference in the 2 kits.

Here is a link of a older gen 1 kit from way back

Here is the Gen 1.5 skirts

When the Gen 1.5 came out thats when the more curved side skirt was sold from that point on..
Also my friend Tony "tkysol" has on of the original gen 1 kits and his side skirt is allot more straight then mine when we park next to each other. IMO the older side skirt made the car look allot lower. I wish i had those side skirts..

Hah, speaking of gen 1 trd kit my mom was ALMOST gonna get one when she first got my solara (at that time hers), said it was only 500 from the dealer installed, but she felt she was too "old" for it. :(

The 1.5 front lips on a Gen 1 are a major headache to me. I have to re-adjust them every few months because the streets I drive on weren't made for lowered cars. I had to add some new holes and screws to secure it better.
If you click my www link below you can see my car on cardomain with the Gen 1.5 kit.

hahah I guess I got the Gen 1.5 skirts from Molly Designs then =P
I think having straighter skirts would be LOTS of trouble especially going over speed bumps.... having that curvature has saved my skirts a lot... besides the straight skirts look like the FG kit

No prob WTF!!
Cdeez - The grille is one of the TWS grilles, but not one of the originals. I believe the originals had a bar in the middle. I actually prefer it without the bar. I moved out here at the end of August.
