Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

What was the first thing you had to replace on your car?

They never leave more than 1/4 tank of gas in the cars on their lot, most of the time less. It's to prevent theft, or at least to assist in recovery. :)

My dealer ended up having to wash mine twice, cause I couldn't pick it up the day I was suposed to. And he complained about it being 25 bucks to fill up. He also threw in about $200 worth of repairs to my celica, which was the reason I was at the dealership in the first place.

gas cap

Postby crash2 » Fri Jul 11, 2003 4:07 pm

1. gas cap $17

..everytime the check engine light came, I replace the gas cap and I everytime I did, the check engine light went away.

2. Oxygen sensors $170@ x 2 (Bosch OEM's them for Toyota for $360@)

...took the car on a high speed run from So Cal to Vegas and back on a 105 degree. ..ended up burning the O2 sensors(2) on the header side.

I don't mind you bringing back old threads but chill a little.

Oil changes and wheel alignments aren't things that you needed to replace BTW
