Nope, that's all that's available so far. You can get a set of those for about that price, just contact EricSol. If you don't want to pay that much, then you're out of luck. Sorry. :(

The exhaust on the solara flows better than the heads do. Adding headers to a stock motor (no turbo, super charger, cams) won't make much difference. You might get a little low end torque and some valve noise under the dash by adding a header but no big horse power. Spend your money on the front suspensions so you can get the hole shot off the light.

Without a S/C?!?!? That'll never happen. Ericsol hit 30FWHP with a s/c and 5.5psi pulley. Realisitcally you'd probally see 10FWHP but no one knows cuz its never been done

Hey EricSol... if u happen to read this do you know how much it would run for just the headers? But about the suspension in the front... i totally agree... i have some pretty decent yokohamas and i still dont get too much traction in 1st gear btw has anyone seen a turbo anywhere for our cars?

On Team sc3 someone has the first and only 1MZ-FTE Engine (T=Turbo). It was an expensive and long project for him.

If i remember correctly you could have just the headers for like $1000 or so, but why wouldn't you get the hi flow cat and y pipe

I wouldn't get the y pipe or cat because my friend patrick claims he could build me an exhaust system he just doesnt want to deal with the headers ... he has built a set for his car already 73 340 Plymouth duster with 69 'cuda 340 ... hes running about 450 whp but only 6 mpg :-?

Alot of R&D and money has gone into the whole setup and it will probally be much more efficient than your friends. Also It was my mistake I mean the first 1MZ-FTE in a solara.

headers...

Postby xXsolaraXx » Sun Feb 09, 2003 1:20 pm

ok i am actually gonna be recieving my headers and y-pipe from that maker in cali for my project soon...i asked my sponsor to try and get just the headers and they just said no flat out...the headers, y-pipe, and hi-flo is a package deal...its really nice though, they did a goood job on developing the set...if its headers you want for your solara, then i think the set is the way to go...and i can second that dyno stat....gain of 30fwhp with HEADERS, Y-PIPE, AND HI-FLO...@--->5.5psi!...by the way...gain of 30fwhp WITHOUT S/C is impossible...its awesome...i cant wait...L8r, moe :evilbat:
