Postby trd4life » Mon Feb 13, 2006 9:15 pm

Got a new contact from my buddy at TRD. I am going to do all i can to get us 1mz-fe guys a set of nice adjustable cam gears. That will give me another toy to play around with on the dyno!

i'll keep you guys updated!

Still working on the Big Bore Throttle Bodies. I bought 20 oem ones and sent them to somebody only to find out he couldnt modify them, he didnt have the right tool to remove the TPS housing which is apparently pressed on. I am going to contact RC Engineering see if they can help us on the throttle bodies.

later guys, i'll be in touch

We have 4 camshafts but only 2 have pulleys. The other 2 are geared on the other end to the ones with pulleys. Just clarifying.

Can you explain to me how this will help? I don't mean this in any negative way but it seems like you can play with advancing and possibly retarding timing with this. Is that correct? Doesn't a unit like the FTC already have the ability to retard timing and won't advancing timing cause knock issues to get worst? Especially since the exhaust and intake cams are geared together. Straighten me out on this.

I thought he was saying that they made actual adjustable camshafts, not the pulleys... even though the pulley is part, I didn't think about an adjustable pulley on the cam
