SAFC on ebay Legit? & Other Q's

I went to my friends shop today and he qouted me 350!!!!! bucks for an Apexi SAFC2 controller. Then on ebay I see it for 250 bucks brand new black one.... Are these controller on ebay legit or are they the fake version 1 with the version 2 name on it? Because no way im paying 350 bucks for something like that if I can get it cheaper.

You would half to be careful on some of that stuff.
Be careful man on some of the stuff that are on Ebay.

Hmm I went ahead and ordered it. Only thing that scared me is darn its sooo cheaper on ebay. Like 50%... I dont want it to be like the TRD SC that greg warnned us about being reject stuffs.

Now once I install it I can drive with it untuned right? Or will I have to install then tune it right away? Because I was thinking to install it thennnn drive it to the shop 30 minutes away to get it tuned.

i suggest staying away from ebay on those..

there are alot of fakes out there... they look the exact same till u get a real one side by side.

a popular magazine already did an article on this and the SSBOV.. they look alike but tolerances were way off on the kock off product...

just a warning.

Yeah Modified Mag did an issue on fakin' shite from Ebay, like "Greddy" oil pans for hte SR20 but bein' not quality, and same wit the Apexi turbo timer some dicks made a copy of the turbo timer from Apexi and put a decal and was sellin' it like it from Apexi, but the size and a whole bunch of shite was way off.
Same wit air filter from "Nismo" that looks like an HKS filter, and same wit the HKS SSQV BOV.
You just have to be careful on Ebay on what performance parts you buy on there.

But even if you are buying used...you don't always know where they bought it from. So don't worry about it, until you get it.
If he was selling fake SAFCII's, others would have left negative feedback about it.

Also, magazines mainly are just an advertisement for products. They are very biased in products that they endorse (or at least the ones they get paid by). And will not promote eBay.
BUT...many will not honor warrantees from eBay sellers.
