Do you like this grill???

Postby Danny » Thu Jan 23, 2003 5:35 pm

Hey whats up if anyones intrested in a solara grill and can hand make them, if you want to see a picture go to... http://www.extremedimensions.com/shopdi ... &L4=Solara
either copy paste or go to extremedimensions.com and go through the menu ill try to get more pics but you can get at idea of this.
This product can either be made out of your stock grill if shipped to me or can be made out of a seperate grill for the cost of the grill. These are made as strong as possible and will come to you primmed ready for factory paint, if you need these painted i can paint them with factory look paint. These take me about 8 hours to make ( $25 per hour ) and involve kitty hair fiber glass bondo sanding painting and dry time. I can also as close to any type of logo or emblem. Please email me for any question.

your looking at 200 in labor ( includes all material/parts everything ) 30 for paint
and i called toyota after your post and the grill assembly retails for 155.00 and can probably get it for around 123.00 or if i can set up a bulk type thing maybe closer to 99

also if you want the bar in the middle that can be done also a nice trd emblem loks pretty cool kinda like an is300 grill

After that, you primer it with sandable primer. Use super fine grit sand paper again. Spray paint it to color desired, and then a clear coat.

I'm going to redo my old grill here in the next day or two cause I couldn't find an old one anywhere around here...

TITO, or anyone else who may know, what is the best kind of spray paint I can use that will be both durable and look great? I'm going to stick with the original chrome color. Also, after I apply the primer on the grill should I apply one coat of spray paint, or two coats, or possibly more? Thanks-

Thanks.

I just finished up applying the chrome spray paint yesterday and it looks pretty decent. I'm going to clear coat it today and put it on tomorrow to see what it looks like. Though I'm having my doubts, if it looks bad I'll just get a new grill. We'll see...

I'll try to take some pics of it
