I just bought some new gen. 2 solara rims and i was wondering what size tires should i get and what were the best brands. I was going to go for something around 225/50/17 but i was wondering if there is a better size or if those would rub of some sort.

225-45-17 is what ive got, i think those are the largest that can fit.... all depends on the look and performance you want...

This is something I've wondered as well. For the Gen 2 the stock tires are 215/55R17, but Discount Tire lists a 'Plus zero' size for that rim as 235/50R17.

I've never tried an oversize tire. Does anyone know if these or others would fit that rim (original question^^^) plus, would that fit the gen 2 wheel wells, springs up or down?
