hey guys, when i get the solara back from ZPI its due for an oil change... its got around 60k on it. is there a specific type of oil or weight that i should be using??? synthetic or regular??? i was thinking about quaker state for high performance engines...

I think you'll find several other threads on here where the predominant oil being used seems to be Mobil 1 synthetic, 5W-30, which happens to be what I use, with the K&N oil filter. Some push the weight around for seasonal use, but I think you'd be fine in Walmartville with the standard weight.

since you're running F/I, go with Mobil1 Synthetic. Due to higher ambient temperatures from F/I, the synthetic would be the smart choice (less degradation in higher than normal temps).

10w30 or 10w40

how cold does it get in your area? if it gets cold, then run 5w30
