Question about taillights.....

Question about taillights.....

Postby nj99solara » Tue Mar 07, 2006 10:19 am

I recently ordered new taillights and only one of them has the studs sticking out of the back. My question is are they removable or are they built into the light like i'm assuming?
I don't want to end up breaking two lights by taking them off the old one and trying to glue them onto the new one so can somebody help me out with this.
Thanks

the studs are supposed to be there. THe studs go through the trunk skin and then you put the nuts on the studs and snug em down. Without the studs, there is nothing for your tail lights to hang on to

Ahh. I believe they are meant to be unremoveable. I dont think they are supposed to come out. What are you doing with your smoked gen1 tails?

I planned on taking them off so I can get my strobes out but I did not want to put them back on with holes in them.
