Just thought of something... it's a 1.5" difference between in height with the new rims. I didn't take into account that the new rims are slightly smaller than the stocks...

After some quick math, that's almost another quarter of an inch... so about 1.75 inch drop...

Hm... I may be wrong again... looking at the Tein website... the Tein SS lowers from 2-3 inches.

So, I'm assuming that the Teins will settle in a little more. For now, let's just call it a 2-inch drop :)

If u can understand, since i'm a Gen1, your weight settings are different from mine but I know exactly wut my front damper settings are which is @ 3 clicks from MAX Hard. Look up your part on Tein's website for the instructions unless you have one on hand for better setting details but I think I got it covered from what I just said.

Tamago,

Just curious, but do you know what your rear settings are? Higher? Lower?

Sorry, I haven't had time or maybe too lazy to goto Sears and pick up a decent tool box with sockets and a socket wrench to work on the back end to access my rear properly to tweak the settings. For I all I know, my original settings on the front were @ 7/6.. U can find my horror story about the 7/6 in the Gen1 aftermarket forum about my installer issue. I'm guessing my rear might be around those click spots 6 or 7ish maybe more or less from MAX HARD. You're gonna need to test drive a lot to figure out your likeable settings. I just gave a quick test shot at testing at 3 clicks from MAX HARD and well, I just hit the sweet spot on the first try. From what I had reported in my post about my horror story, the installer did ok on the rear settings.

On the height settings, those clamps clearly set the height as I doubt the car would settle down that much unless your damper settings are really gonna stress the damper springs with the crazy bouncing.

Doh!

I totally forgot that I also removed the "SLE" "V6" and "TOYOTA" black pearl emblems too... yeah, the ones that took so freaking long to put on because I taped off the exact location of the stock ones... Don't have a clear picture of that either.

If the Toyota "cowboy hat" emblem wasn't on a raised surface, I'd remove that too and fill in the holes (I'm very partial to the "Solara" though)...

If anyone has any bright ideas for the "cowboy hat"... I'm listening...
