Tranny Coolers are for autos and yes it is worth it regardless if your car is stock or not. Helps your tranny live longer in any case, think of it as a personal radiator just for you tranny. For Manuals there are Oil Coolers which cools down oil which is also avaliable for the automatics as well I think.
