bright driver's side headlight

bright driver's side headlight

Postby bigsley18 » Thu Feb 13, 2003 8:37 pm

i did a search and couldn't find anything. if anybody finds a thread, please cut and paste it. anyway, for some odd reason, my driver's side headlight is brighter than my passenger side. it looks as if the high beams are on, but only on the driver's side. is this common? or is there something wrong? or am i just an idiot? please help. thanks

sounds like a ground problem, do you have a stereo system in your car?

i've never changed the bulbs or messed with the headlights. and i didn't do anything with the stereo compartment. i bought this car a month ago and this is how it came. you know how sometimes, when there's oncoming traffic, and there's that one car that has their highs on one side and their other side seems normal? well, that's how mine are. i was wondering if it had anything to do with the fuses. i dunno. help.

yep, i bought it from a toyota dealer. i'm gonna go back, but i just wanted to see if this was a problem i could fix myself before having to drive 30-45 mins to the dealership. oh well, thanks for helping guys. oh wait, one more thing, my coin tray...is it me or does the coin tray look brownish? it looks and feels like the dealer put in another piece that did not originally fit in the solara. i dunno....whatever. thanks guys. later

Did you check to make sure the fuse for that headlight isn't burnt out?
