FEELER: Custom Cat-back Group Buy!

To address some concerns raised in the Megan thread in the "pic/video" forum, I spoke with the owner of the shop that sponsors me. I've already contracted with him to make me a custom cat- back, capped with this megan canister: http://meganracing.com/products/product ... prodid=137 I've seen it on a Z and on an STi and loved the tonal quality and style.

He was open to the idea of selling custom cat backs, either with a muffler attached or without. As tenative pricing for a group buy of 6, he could do just piping (2.5" non-polished stainless) for $200, with a stainless muffler for $275 (varies based on muffler choice) and $350 for the carbon fiber/titanium muffler. 3" piping adds about $125-150 to the total to cover the increase in pipe diameter and muffler. Shipping would be in addition and calculated individually.

Here's a list of mufflers Megan offers if you'd like to go that route, but he has access to many other companies, although not all at the discount Megan offers him. http://meganracing.com/products/product ... p?catid=45 You'd have to discuss with him if you want a different canister.

All will be test fitted to my vehicle before shipping to ensure fitment. If you're interested, post it up as well as some indicator of commitment. If we get 6, I'll get more solid prices for you, but I don't think it would vary much from what I have posted already.

i would consider the cat-back, just because it has been tested with the whole megan setup, but those mufflers are definitely not my style. do they have any oval shaped?

I don't know that megan makes an oval tip, that link was to their product page. If you can find a canister you like better, we can mount it for you.

As far as the pricing goes, $200 is the going rate in our area, so thats what we based it off of.

I would maybe like to go for it maybe not, depends on when the header y pipe project is finished. But if I do, I'm definitely not going with one of those mufflers on the megan site, and especially not the CF one, it just looks too ricey for me.
