Rear Spoiler & Car Wash

Rear Spoiler & Car Wash

My fears may be unfounded, but I've always been a bit nervous about the idea of taking my '01 SE with rear spoiler through an automatic car wash. What's the consensus of the group - is there any danger in doing this? I have this nightmarish image in my head of the car wash ripping the spoiler off of my trunk lid!

I did it once. The spoiler is still there. Though the area under the spoiler was not clean.

Thank you for the response. Can I assume this means the spoiler wasn't loosened or otherwise harmed in any way? Also, what kind of wash was it?

I use it many times b4 I lowered it down and put the TRD kit.
I went fine.

After I lowered it and put the kit, it just too low that I gotta do a hand-wash. My baby got spoiled.

I've even got the non factory spoiler, one from California Design, it's fine going through the carwash. You shouldn't have any problem.

the spoiler is usually bolt down through the trunk latch with nuts and bolts.. you shouldnt really worry about it...

My '01 SE has been through an automatic car wash once a week for about a year and a half now. The spoiler is still there. (and the car washes I go to get the whole car clean, including the space under the spoiler)

Instead of making a new thread....What about those of us with the Home Depot Mesh Grille? (I recently did mine) Wouldn't the car wash probably rip it off/damage/bend it?
