First post. Gas Mileage for Solara Convertibles?

Greetings all. I'm looking into possibly purchasing a 99-01 Solara Convertible. Although I wouldn't mind a 4 cylinder, I'll probably end up with a V6 Automatic.

What kind of gas mileage does this model get? If anyone has any input on the 4 cylinder gas mileage that would be appreciated as well.

you know... I didn't know that there were 4 cylinder convertibles... but now that I think about it... there might be.

good question... does anyone know?

With my 6 cylinder coupe, I get around 320-340 miles to the tank... but I'm a pretty calm driver until I find some hilly terrain.

okay, how many gallons normally goes in the tank after the 320-340 miles.

sorry, I'm new.

I'm hoping these cars get somewhere in the mid 20s at least.

a typical fill up for 320-340 miles would be 15-16 gallons.

so I usually get between 20 and 25 miiles per gallon in combined driving.

on long trips I get about 28-29 miles per gallon.

now that I think about it... my car is in dire need of a tuneup... so maybe those numbers will improve.

For me (V6), I have to put in around 16-17 gallons at that point.

Highest MPG I ever got was 23, but that was with 75% highway, 25% street. Normally with 50/50, I get about 21-22.5 MPG

Honestly though... unless I'm finding some curves or annoyed with the driver next to me, I never drive at WOT.

I get about 360 to 380 miles on a tank filling up about 16.5gallons at the end of the day. I believe our tank's capacity is 18.5.
