My Fans Won't Shut Off

My Fans Won't Shut Off

Postby PJackson22 » Mon Nov 07, 2005 8:24 pm

Ever since I got my 2-way remote start/alarm installed I've noticed that my engine cooling fans won't shut off. I was thinking that this could have been a problem before hand, but I paid attention to it after the work was done, or maybe not. Does anybody know if the alarm installation could have created a problem w/ the fuse and/or relay for the fans? If not what could this problem be from. Thanks PJ.

I'm not sure who the install could lead to fan's being on constantly. i'm guessing one or more of the following has happened:
1. Trace the relay chord to ensure its connected..cus by default when disconnected the fan stays on continously
2. Maybe your relay needs replacement cus its worn out.
3. May be your thermostat is worn and is locked in open position??

I know it's been a while, but I thought that I'd share what the true problem was. It was the AC Compressor going bad. Anyway I had to figure this out by taking the car into a Toy Dealer. Good thing I purchased the extended Warranty.
