How many watts are you pushing now? I'm assuming to make those W7s burp you are far over 1000 watts. I tend to go overboard with the wiring so I would have recommended at least 2ga out from the Yellowtop. An easy addition would be to increase your grounds (run some of that 4ga to the chassis).

I assume you have a cap as well? They are bandaids but might help with the lights.

It depends on the size, the 10's only needs ~500wrms and the 13 needs 100wrms.

JL owners live and die by that chart. From experience the 10W7s really need/deserve around 1000 watts a piece. You can do with less but you are really defeating the purpose in purchasing W7s in the first place.

Hell I've got 500 RMS on each of my 12W3s and I have not had one issue. My belief with JL is give JUST enough power to not go into the "black" on that chart....but no less.
