My left side mirror was knocked out of my 2002 solara socket

Postby supercamsol » Wed Feb 19, 2003 7:28 am

while my car was parked---sombody hit the mirror and knocked it
so hard that it cracked the mirror and neck and bent the part where the neck attaches too-and my door does not close like it use to.
:(

can you tell me where in the internet I can get parts that are not direct
from toyota because if I buy from toyota it will be expensive.

also is it possible to get a side mirror that swings in so as to avoid
that type of accident for a solara---it must be heated and electronic
and it folds----is that possible and where can I get it.

thank you for your help[/b]

Don't know which forums, but someone bought a camry JDM mirror for their camry (because it folds automatically when same happened to them). My suggestion...go to a junkie and pull out LEXUS ES mirrors...On my ES..They fold (ok...not automatically but rather manually)..and they are heated! But I have no clue if it mounts on correctly or if the view then is SAFE! Good Luck!

Try www.toyotaparts4u.com or www.partznet.com

No it's not possible to get a folding mirror on a Solara unless you get one from an ES like aformentioned. Y
