Motor Mount questions

Postby widow's son » Tue Apr 04, 2006 9:39 am

I noticed that my 2001 Solara has started to feel like it has a rough idle. And I am also feeling more NVH in the interior of the vehicle.
However I do not notice any change in the RPM's.
Is it possible I have bad motor mounts?
Any suggestions or troubleshooting advice you can offer?

you have an i4 (5sfe). No offence the 5sfe wasn't the best silent engine ever. Its a lovely RELIABLE piece of engineering thats made to 'last'. the engine does have a noisy idle when its reaches 60K+ and the steering does shake at stoplights (if you have a/t).
