try the SEARCH button, too. a lot of the things you're trying have already been tried before.

this is a good guide to go by:

i tried hard as hell to get the 2 screws loose to access the bubls, but cuz of the steerwheel and the column it makes the task hard, so i even tried using the small lenght philips screwdriver to get the screw unscrewed.. but its stuck in damn tight. any suggestions/advice?

actually using a long (and i mean about a foot long) screwdriver helped me... youd obviously have to move to the side of the steering wheel column to unscrew it, but as long as you apply pressure upward and twist, it works :D

you're probably not getting a good angle because you're using a conventional sized screwdriver and the shaft is too long. if you don't want to strip that screw (and risk not being able to take that piece off AT ALL) you'd probably be better off getting a stubby screwdriver.

hey jeff. look! pictures:

Bad luck for Jeff's to take out the cluster assembly lol

I almost stripped my screws. Make sure you're getting in at the correct angle. If not, the screws won't turn at all and you'll just be stripping them. It patient and put more pressure pushing UP against the screw than turning it. If you put enough pressure against the screw, it will be hard to rotate the driver, and that's how it'll budge.

good luck... it was a pain for me to do x_x

that screw is hard to take off the first time...a ratcheting stubby really helped me since you can apply constant pressure while turning the screw.

uhhh...the only advice left to give is to put more elbow grease in that. put more force!
