rearview mirror

when you mount it put some rubber on the mount it reduces the vibration

the solara does not have a very good rubber mount on the glass
that why it vibrates alot when you give alot of base

I think I'm gonna get the auto dimming rear view mirror. I have a question about it that was never answered by my dealer..

when you buy it from toyota does it come w/ the temperature sensor, or do you just get the use of the compass?

they sell two types:

one has just dimming and temp no sensor but can be attached to the electronic of the air conditioner

the other is a dimmer/ temp/compass and can be attaches to the auto sensor
of the air conditioning electronics if not the mirror is always 2 degree
in error

remember you can get it cheaper from somewhere else than the dealer
I got the dimmer/temp/comp for 250

I've looked on a few sites for the mirror and the best price I found was $218.75 from toyotaparts4u.com.

Where exactly is hookup for the auto sensor for the air conditioning? I have a SE and don't have climate control -- so I don't know if by saying auto you meant climate control.

i think the broadway mirrors are the best bet. they're only 20 bux, you get more visibility, and it has a slight tint on it already. make sure u get the convex. i have the 300mm convex and i love it. i never get glare or its never too bright, and never too dark. i think they look cool too.

:o
never been a fan of those big, aftermarket mirrors
always thought they looked tacky
AND especially the curved (convex) ones, they hurt my head when i look at them!
