Oil pressure gauge install - Help pls!

Ok my buddy Louis (SolaraT for those that remember him) is going to help me install my Oil pressure gauge but he asked me to find out where is it supposed to plug into the engine so I wanted to see if any of you guys would know. It would help a very mucho bunch if you could provide some pics too (please?). Thanks guys.

Right above the crank pulley i believe,thats where the factory oil pressure sensor is. You should be able to T off that for your gauge sender.

I used a oil cooler (had to buy one) and ran a tee off the plate for the sender under the oil filter. It actually seems to be the only way to get one to work. BIG pain just to get it to work but I will eventually get the full sweep to replace the one I have now.

Hey guys, we tried to install it today but we were not successful, (at least the gauge is installed insude the car, and all the wiring is set) what is the crank pulley? (yeah, im not too knowledgeable as you can see) we are still not sure where this is located, do you guys mind showing a pic or kinda tell us where exactly to look? (under the car, uncer the sc, or around the oil filter, etc... thanks a lot in advance!!

it's mechanical but after talking to my bud Will (wiz2) i think i know how to resolve this issue... at 1st i wasnt sure what TooBzy was talking about but now i do and it makes sense so i'll be following his advice, thanks TooBzy, thanks Will!

The short sweep is electrical and the full sweep is mechanical like the one you have. I have not seen any full sweep electrical yet. Still searchin.

TooBzy, what is the full sweep you are talking about?

Dude, the reason that I went from mechancial to electric was...I didn't want oil coming into the interior of the car! it's up to you but my way is the only way I know how to make a gauge work.

When you get an oil cooler it attaches between the oil filter and the block you can then tee off one of the lines and put in a sending unit. You run the wire from the sending unit to the back of the gauge.

^ Exactly what I found out today. The idea alone of oil coming through the firewall just freaks me out.

Same here, i just found that today too (thanks louis) but no one had ever explained that to me before so i'll be taking a diff approach now.
