Unless Injen changed their pricing. I should be able to offer these at the same price.

If you plan on using this CAI in Cali, I would suggest that you ask if the unit has a CARB sticker for it. If it doesn't and you need a Smog Cert you won't pass it. It happened to me but I was able to get one directly from Injens shop.

The intakes come with a CARB sticker. Its not that big of a deal for smog anyway. Changing the intake back to stock would only take like <30mins maybe.

When I bought mine it did not have the CARB sticker on it and I didn't realize that until I had a Smog Check and failed. I am only advising anyone who installs CAI in Cali to make sure they get a CARB sticker and then they wouldn't have to go change back to OEM.

How long ago did you get yours? I'm pretty sure they come with CARB stickers now. Maybe you got yours before they got their CARB exemption.

Anyhow, most places aren't that strict about the stickers, sucks you got hassled for it. As long as it passes sniffer, most places are happy. If anyone in SoCal gets this and has a problem with smog, I'll smog it for you :p Since these intake are CARB exempt anyways.

At the time I bought mine, Nov 05 the intake did not have a sticker on it and I didn't think about it until I went to have a smog check in Feb 06. The technician spotted it right away and also one of the hoses was plugged and not connected correctly. The store where I bought it installed it for me incorrectly. When I went back to the store to inquire about the sticker he told me that they had this one on the shelf without a sticker and just forgot to put one on, sure they did. They didn't have one readily available so I contacted Injen in Pomona and made arrangements to go pick it up since I was out of time and did not want to pay a penalty. Injen verified I had a CARB approved unit and put a sticker on it and hooked up the hose correctly. I think Injen went out of their way to help me and I appreciate them for it. I was just warning anyone thinking about buying Injen or any other intake to make sure it was CARB approved otherwise as you stated they could put the OEM on for the check and then put the intake back on afterwards.

I see. Sounds like the store you got it from just messed up. My Injen intakes have usually come with a CARB sticker if that particular intake is CARB exempt. If Injen themselves would give you a sticker, then I don't see why it wouldn't be included with the intake during purchase.

Like I said though, 80% of the smog places won't really dick you on an intake though, since it won't effect the emissions. Around here, as long as you pass the sniffer, most of the shops will let you pass. As long as you still have EGR and all the necessary stuff.
