How is gas mileage after CP-e install? Will it use more gas to compensate for more air flow?

Also any1 run track with CP-e on? I like to improve my 16 sec quarter mile run

The mileage varies, it depends on how you drive your car. I've noticed with an intake like this that does improve your performance to the point where you CAN feel it, and it DOES sound really good, that you'll be getting on the throttle more than you do when your car is stock. Thusly your mileage may go down. But if it does, it won't be by much and I'd say it's worth it.

I don't think anyone has any track numbers with just getting the CP-E intake, but I can get them for you. Next time I go to the track I'll make a pass without my nitrous to see how quick I can run.

Either way, trust me, it's worth it.

wow, from reading these posts so far... in the near future i'll prob be buying the CP-E Intake! kind of disappointed that I bought my Injen Intake a few months ago now. I'll prob put a K&N Filter on the CP-E or would I have too?

I installed my CP-e intake system a couple of weeks and im loving it. the installation of the intake itself was absolutely no problem. Splicing into the ECU wires made me a little nervous, but the instructions were very detailed and made the process relatively simple.

The sound of the intake is wonderful. You can't really hear it under normal acceleration from inside the car (under 3 RPMS), but once you get into the upper RPM range it truly does roar!!! I can definitely feel the power difference as well. My buddies were riding in the car with me when I took it for its first test drive(both drive Hondas/Acuras) and they compared the increased pull with the intake to having V-Tec. You can feel the power difference all across the band, but epecially at about 3.5 RPMS, def gives you a nice little kick. I have my traction control disabled, and I can spin the wheels pretty easily now, even from a stand still.

This is my first engine performance modification, and it definitely has called attention to the bad automatic lag that our car has. When you step on the gas, there is always some hesitation, no matter what speed you are at, makes me really wish I had a manual.

As far as gas mileage, highway miles did not change really. As dominoSLEV6 said, having the intake does make you want to drive the car harder, and therefore my city mileage has gone down by about 2 MPG, but I would put that strictly on the change of driving habits .

I would highly Reccomend this system to everyone who is interested in gaining some performance numbers. This is my first intake, so I can't compare it to the Injen, but I personally think that this is a better investment. I've heard so many people complain of CEL and other problems with the Injen. Furthermore, adding up the price of the Injen itself, plus the SAFC needed to correctly tune the a/f mixture, you will come out at about the same price range.

i wanna get one but im s/c... since all the box does is compensate for the fixture, it should still work for a s/c application right? anyone tried it yet? I just dont wanna be getting a CEL or have wiring complications

it comes with a preprogramed fuel map that should do fine with the supercharger but if you buy the tunable maf box you can tune it to an ideal setup for supercharger. I was going to do this with mine but I'm going turbo now so I may not be using the cpe any longer. It is a fantastic product.
