I have 1 gen solara and i just noticed how the chrome is peeling off my grill. I was wondering what is the best way to remove the chrome?? i was thinking about removing the chrome and painting it black..

If you decide to keep it silver, get some High lustor model paint in a very light silver/aluminum color and carefully brush it on using thin coats. I'd sand the spots befor hand if you can.

Do you have access to a pressure washer? if not remove any loose stuff by taking it to those self-serve coin-operated car washes and direct the flow of pressured water at the surface you want to target.

Then follow with light sanding (where it didn't come off).
