Silver Pearl Flakes

Silver Pearl Flakes

Postby Wang2k » Wed Apr 26, 2006 8:23 am

Its time for me to decide. As i posted a while back my car is being repainted. I am following Gabes Red Knight paint scheme but using a metallic blue instead of evil red. I have a full 4oz bottle of brilliant silver pearl flakes im contemplating putting in the clear. Nobody around here has pearl in their clear(unless its factory) And i was wondering if it would look ok blue with silver flakes???I know it is a matter of opinion but what im wanting to know is this a common thing? Putting flakes of a different color than the paint in the clear? Anyone know? I want it to be metallic blue looking at night and glittery in the sun. Any....ANY input would be appreciated because i want my car to look cali baby. or screw that ...i want it to look houston(that candy paint dripping off the frame, leaving stains while im switchin lanes, 6 lbs of boost gonna stir ya brain- i hit the gas and stab out insane!)

Anyway...i need help

Don't have them mix or you mix the paint wit the clear coat in wit the paint when you paint your car, cause it will feel grainy.
Trust me the rear quater of my passenger side & the top of my car is that but wit DWP wit the clear coat mixed in....... I hate it cause i can get it to shine.
But the rest of my car has it DWP painted and then clear coat on there, which i like cause i can clean it better and feel the smoothness after a nice cleanin' unlike the top of the car and the rear passenger side i hate cause after i clean it good there is no shine but just "clean" and grainy......

P.S. hope i'm talkin' about the right thing????? :-? :-?
