sorrie but i coudn't find any past posts on pricing for car alarms. i have a friend lookin for a pretty basic alarm that's worth buying and pretty cheap. Any suggestions, prices, and where abouts to get one would be nice and greatly appreciated.

i know this guy do the Viper3000 with ignition kill and auto lock, $160 installed

that's pretty good. the shop i work at installs just the basic alarm for $179.99. 30 bucks extra for keyless entry and 40 for starter kill...


expect to pay about 200 or so for a basic alarm. i'd recommend any DEI product. Sidewinder is comparable to Viper and is a little cheaper. that may be another option.

The guy was a stereo installer of a car shop (8 years experiences), he just doing some side jobs at his own home
