ok guys ive noticed this since i got my car.......wehn i get in and even if the doors are locked when i put it in reverse to get out of my driveway it UNLOCKS?? anyone else do this or is my solara special? no matter what if it unlocks it trys to unlock again........not the best safty system out there in my opinion

yea..its the opposite..

mine lock as soon as car is started - unless the a door is open.then they stay unlocked :o

that's something you'd have to take back to Toyota to fix. no aftermarket alarm is designed to do that.

LOL its the oem alarm....i mean my car was a leased car before i bought it........and this is just been a little quirk its had since i got it......LOL it really is special

Sounds like some kind of crossed wire.

Nyyankees...not sure about all model years, but my 2006 can be programmed to lock once pulled out of park and to unlock when I take key out of the ignition (or when put in park - can't remember) I have the unlock feature turned off, but the lock feature is on for safety.

Neither does mine, I don't really care though, Im used to having doors unlocked while driving

mine does the same thing. when i reverse out of the driveway the passenger door unlocks. all i have is the factory alarm.

My 99 SLE Does the same thing. It even unlocks the doors when you turn the key.. dont have to put it in any gear.

check the owners manual, there should be a way to change it

You guys got the special Solara's.

I would take it to the dealer if its a dealer alarm. The locks are suppose to lock when you put the car in gear not unlock.
