They also get much better fuel economy and cost a couple grand less from the dealer. I love my v6 but getting 30MPG would be very nice

i get a consistent 27MPG for my daily use and when i go on trips i get 29 MPG.
i wouldnt give up the ease of driving, the power to climb and accelerate for a couple of MPG more!

I personally agree, thats why i have the v6, but the i4 is still a great engine and it does have power. Granted with 4 people up a hill it strugles, but so does the v6. Some people don't want to spend $23k+ on a new car when they could get it with a smaller engine for 18k. Just try not offend the fellow solara owners with the i4 :D Take it easy on them

did some research, the sports package #4 (sports, leather, moon etc) is code named SZ

BTW, didnt know what 2003's dont come with sticks! :o
what is toyota thinking, all the new models of cars that initially didnt come with stick are coming up with 6 speeds (G35, acura, even honda accord).
every ones tilting towards stick atleast in semi-sports catagory like solara..

only the V6's don't come in 5-spd, you can get an i4 in 5-spd if you wish!

Toyota did that because the Manual SE V6 was a slow seller.
