Dash Lights Question

Dash Lights Question

Postby gnaw divad » Fri Feb 21, 2003 9:41 pm

I reccently saw the post about changing the bulbs behind the dash and I changed them without a problem. I changed them to red bulbs, but they seem kind of orange, is there a brand of buibs that you guys recommend for the DARK RED look or is that impossible to achieve.

I was wondering if it was possible to change the lights behind the air control. Its not the manuel control it is the AUTO one that came with my SLE V6.

Also i just purchased the supercharger kit from a guy on the forum. I was thinking about installing it myself to save some money but I dont know if i can handle it. I live in Mountain View, Santa Clara/San Jose area and was wondering if there were installers around here that would do it for cheap. Someone of the forum said they had it installed for 350, maybe somewhere around there would be great.

Thanks In Advance..

Is it just me or does changing the dash lights to a different color other than green look a bit odd when the other color led colors are green as well? When it comes to those of us with the auto climate anyway...

I think color uniformity looks the best. I'd love to go with a blue dash or bright white but I don't think it'd look good having that and a green center console.

Someone post a pic of the procarparts reverse indiglo gauges with all the other leds stock green please. Im thinking about changing the gauges but I have always been "uncomfortable" about the clashing lighting scheme.
Anyone got an opinion on it?

it's very nice imo! and really easy to put in too! i have the stock green led's and they don't clash at all with the blue reverse indiglo's. and if you feel that they do, you can always change the indiglo's to green! 8)

Looks good Peter, very clean. I'd change mine in a second if I my auto climate light color could be changed...I just don't like how it looks with opposing colors. Green really isn't that bad either. I suppose
