How do you clean the foglights?

I dont know if its condensation but my right fog has formed a creamish layer on the inside i think. It looks freakin dirty. I tried the DIY to recondotion headlights etc but its still the same. I think its dirty from the inside.

anyone know what i should do to make it the clear glass/plastic it should be?

got water in mine every time it rained because there was a crack in the housing. the damn thing filled up high enough to put a little fish inside.

there was nasty growths like algae in there, so i took the headlight out, taped a cotton ball onto a chopstick, and just cleaned the inside w/ some soap and water. then i re-sealed the housing and polished the plastic lens with blue magic.

yo, i have a topic very similar so i hope its alright that im posting here.

I just changed my fogs, and i realized that my bulb old bulb exploded inside. Theres glass all over the inside of the cover, so i need to pop out the covers. I'm thinkin its pretty simple, just get something to wedge in between and pop'em out. But before i went ahead and did it, i was wondering if theres a better/easier way to do it.

Didnt want to damage the paint around the fog cover area. Any advice would help. THX

remove the entire fog light unit out and tip the pieces out? unless the pieces are too big to come out, but in this case Id just stick something in there and break it into smaller pieces then tip it out...

FYI: Again this is from my celica days; but the concept remains the same!

Remove the fog light assemble (completely from the car, never needed to on solara, so don't know).

Then after your unplug the harness and just have the casing/housing in your hands spray engine degreeser in the hole where you bulb would normally go! Thereafter take a ruler and attach a terrycotton cloth to one end (kinda like engineering a giant q-tip), rub the degreeser with the engineered q-tip. Follow thru with mcguires plastX.
The concept for solara celica should remain the same..but like i said, i've never needed to remove the fog's from my solara (only bulbs, never the housing...so i don't know how to do that).

David, you will have take out a few screws holding the black plastic splash guard in place. Then you will be able to access the fog from below.

you remember the concept of replacing your fog light bulbs? well youll be able to see all the things holding the fogs in the back as well just like bassthrive said
