Or do you think the redness of the needles will still look red with purple. Afterall purple is a product of red. If not I think im just going to get all orange leds and go that route. Im going to have to try to make the clock orange too.

i actually replaced all 5 #74 bulbs with LED bulbs in my cluster. around the GAS and TEMPERATURE gauges there are 2 bulbs behind it that are blue that light up my stock orange needles very, VERY blue! it still looks corny though since there's still that tinge of orange.

the other 3 bulbs are supposed to light up the TACH and SPEEDO needles as well as the ODOMETER but the light from the LED bulbs are so poor i can't really see those needles or the odometer at night.

if you're gonna do a purple with red needle scheme you're gonna have to put LED's close to the needles and remove the orange backing on each needle itself. the purple bulbs can just be replaced with #74 LED bulbs from autolumination.com

Im guessing you mean #194 bulbs for the background but either way I get what your saying. I kindof figured if I just did purple it would overtake the orangeness of the needles and look like poo so I descided to go with all orange lights to match my car better and to be different since most of you put red, white, or blue in. As far as shining leds up the needles looks very hard since the spring for the needles are directly behind it and I dont want to screw up the calibration and I dont have an extra cluster to mess around with.

Ill post the results as soon as I get the lights and put them in.

No but I will take some pics and show ya.

Question, I think Ive read that some people said you can you use colored cellophane to go over the clock to change the color. But would I still have to remove the brown cover? I dont really want it to be removed cause i think it will look bad. Also i think ive read in that tutorial that the actual color of the clock is a blueish color? Thanks in advance.

Here is what Ive done so far. Just the dash, the HVAC, ignition, Cig lighter, and clock. The clock sucks cause I cant see it at all during the daytime so I will probably just undo it and rock the green with the rest orange. Sorry these pictures suck my camera cant take night photos without a flash. Its just a big blur. The radio is coming once I get some lights. The company I bought them from for some reason didnt process my order and I cant get ahold of them.

Hope you like!

looks pretty dope. i JUST finished soldering my LED's for the HVAC panel...it was kinda hellish, but i figured out that you've gotta wire them in series in pairs of 2 and parallel them all together with ONE single resistor on the power wire. *sigh*
