i feel like an unworthy solara owner askin this question..but how do you take out the headlight assembly to install a new one?

I think you remove the bolt/screw stuff?? someone told me maybe remove front bumper?.. no idea .. (sorry, not much help.. im kinda new on this stuff still)

yea ive got all the bolts off of the headlights and the three on the top side of the grill but theres one screw under the bottow lip of the grill i cant get to..i searched for a tutorial on it but only got DIY's on how to make black housings not put them on..can i just take the grill off or do i need to remove the whole bumber..if so how do i get it off?

take off the corner lenses and you'll see a couple screws holding in the headlight. i believe you need to take the grille off too. not to hard i did mine in about 30minutes or so. the hardest part is removing the grille. it can be a pain. good luck! dont worry you DO NOT need to take the bumper off.

i have a gen1 so it may be different. you say you have a screw at the bottom/inside of the grille? i dont think mine does. just unscrew all the bolts holding it in and you should be able to push the grille out with a bit of force. its kind of a pain.

alright yea i just wasnt sure if i should poping it off but it worked just a pain in the a s s..now the problem is gettin the new ones in I cant seem to manuver it in so that i get the 2 screws on the outside of the assembly into the holes in the bracket and still get the rest of the light to fit in..is there a special angle i have to slide it in at lol?

if i remember right you have to put the headlight in bottom first...... its going to be a pain but keep at it and you'll fit it in.

uhh...if you can take it out, you can obviously put it back in. have patience.

angle the bottom part of it in first; you're gonna have to use MILD force. don't just shove it in there to fit. from there, line up the screws with the bracket and tighten. from there, you'll get the rest.
